INTEGRATION WITHIN URBAN SPACES

Insects have to adapt spontaneously to the urbanized rapid development and this means they have to seek refuge in other areas. Although, residents from the woodlands, these critters accustom to new conditions by altering their behaviours to integrating with human activities in the vast modernized world. As such, home is an ideal place for insects to assilimate in terms of choosing a preferred space. The majority of conventional modern living spaces contain a bedroom, toilet, kitchen, living room, balcony, hall etc; These insects managed to sneak in by flying or crawling through cracks, holes, or opened windows.
The mutual relationship between space and insects is unique and based on the idea of adapting to survive. The desire to understand insects and the environment evoke a sense of curiorsity which led to observation and investigation in order to gather information on the change which is required for entomolgy studies on classification, physiology and behaviour. The artist positioned himself as an Entomologist which led to studying the relations between integration of insects on urban spaces. In additon, to doing observational studies such as drawings, the critters are also given fictionalised names and descriptions. Also, investigating the insect's perspective of how they basically explored the location of allocated spaces at home though photographic documentations. Insects have incredibly morphological, physiological and behavioral adaptations to their surroundings which make the study of these creatures a fascinating subject.
